Veterans Golf Outing

July 14, 2017

After being flooded out on our original date, a cadre of 30 four man teams once again attacked Green Hills Golf Course in Linwood Michigan the Fifth Annual Bay Veterans Foundation Golf Outing. Funds raised this year will support the Plaintive Care Unit at the Saginaw Veterans Hospital, The Bay County Veterans Honor Guard and support of the Medal of Honor Leadership Program. Teams also donated new tools and gift cards to area home improvement stores in support of our Veterans Activity Center now under development. Our sponsorship support came from many individuals and companies from

all parts of the veteran and non veteran community. We are grateful and truly fortunate to be honored with such support.  We look forward to our Sixth Annual Bay Veterans Foundation Golf Outing when Green Hills will again feel the force of many veterans and supporters; having fun, raising funds and supporting the veteran community.

Mother’s Day Plant Sale May 2016

Plants in hanging planters were grown by Andrew MacDonald of Essexville in his small farm green house.  Approximately $1000 was raised to grow our budget to help Veterans.

Pheasant Shoot

On April 22, 2016, 67 participants and 7 volunteers participated in a Pheasant Tower Shoot followed by an Upland Walk-Up at the Rooster Ranch in Ubly, Michigan. The shooters were “on target,” harvesting over 500 Pheasants in 6 hours. This event rose just over $8,500 for Bay Veterans Foundation’s General Fund which supports veterans in Bay County. We would like to thank all of the people that helped make the event possible, Rooster Ranch, Bay Veterans Foundation Board of Directors and especially our volunteers. Special Thanks to our individual donors and to our two Albino Pheasant Main Event Sponsors: Firehouse Soft Wash and John E. Green Co.
